Cor, this just doesn't add up, for my case. Not the heaters, but the difference in range between cold charging and warm charging. Let's say I have about 2/3 the original battery capacity, which would be 16kWh. In warm weather, I'll guess I have a range of 50 miles, perhaps 60 if I go 40 mph

I have bikes with ev conversions I bought before the dedicated e bikes were available, but hub motors. I don't use gears, I keep it in top gear. Can you ride a centermotor bike only using top gear? Then you can do away with derailleur? -Original Message- From: EV On Behalf Of Bill

I presume that there are 2011 with "winter package" and heaters in the pack. They still have only a single HV connector on the front of the battery, so the HV switching is done in the car. I did find one inconsistency yesterday: I was taking a 2012 pack apart and came across a total of 8 heaters,

Vextric had a throttle that reversed. Forward motion gave Regen. Very natural feel. Lawrence Rhodes -- next part -- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: <http://lists.evdl.org/private.cgi/ev-evdl.org/attachments/20220406/4bfcf7e3/attachment.h

It's called a fixed gear bike. Move the gearing/transmission to the hub/motor before the chain and it would work (a.k.a. a motorcycle...) Fixed freewheels are easy, but I've never seen a variable locking one, nor a "locking" derailleur. Jay On 4/5/22 20:01, Lawrence Rhodes via EV wrote:

I think David took a good crack at that: The battery has higher resistance so the losses inside are a bit higher and at freeway driving speed, the pack will hit minimum charge level earlier as there is a larger voltage drop (limits are almost always measured in voltage across a cell). In addition,

Locking freewheel is easy, but the derailleur will never work with regen. See for yourself what would happen. Grap the freewheel with a chainwhip, etc. and hold it still while you try to back pedal. That's what's going to happen when you try to regen. My PGP public key:

I can't see anyway that could work. Perhaps with a fixie or an internal geared hub, but not a derailure My PGP public key: https://vanderwal.us/evdl_pgp.key April 5, 2022 2:30 PM, "Lawrence Rhodes via EV" wrote: > It seems the only restriction to regen on a mid drive electric bike system is
