Thanks to you (and others) for the tips on getting rid of these
batteries. The local scrap dealer will give $0.21/lb so this pack will get
me over $300 just in scrap value. I don't want to deal with Craig's list
buyers for the small extra amount I might get.

I purchased a 2013 salvage Leaf this week as a battery donor to
replace the lead acid pack in my pickup. It has body damage only so the
electronics should all be ok. Let me know if you are interested in the

Great work and having it well documented is very valuable. I am at
the end of life for my truck's 144V pack of 12V cart batteries and was not
planning on doing lead again. Using new CALB cells is more money than I want
to put into a conversion considering the options for used factory

It would not surprise me to learn that Toyota has a very active electric
vehicle development program that they they choose to keep under wraps. Why
come out with an EV now that could undercut Prius sales?
