While the idea is great as a moped it leaves something to be desiredfreeway
cruising. The original Carver1 and Carver EV were full fledged highway
vehicles. For a little more money you could get a very nice freeway capable

a bigger motor & controller in the 70-100 hp range so likely a
higher voltage than my current 96v setup.

Yeah, believe me, some of us have built DiY systems that support
CHAdeMO. CCS is a bit (well a lot) harder because of the architecture
so there probably aren't any homebrew CCS. But, it is possible to
