Hi Evolution Maintainers,
I'm going to continue submitting bugs because I want to help Evolution
and Ximian Gnome be great. I'll do my best to keep my strong opinions
about UI design from coming across as enflammatory remarks in my bug
reports.
Please keep up the great work,
Miles

The verify script has unfortunately gotten out of date. This error is
meaningless.

The problem is that it's leaving the SMTP connection open all the time,
instead of disconnecting after sending a message. I'm adding that to
bugzilla.

hey all,
when the machine is a standalone, things work fine.
however, when using NIS and NFS mapped home directory, evolution mail
component dies often and will typically show the error:

anyone have any idea
I just started using RedCarpet and broke Evolution trying to get RedCarpet working.
After upgrading a few components via RedCarpet RPMs (now running RH 7.1)
that I had previously compiled, evolution wouldn't start. Turned out I
had extra files floating around. (well, okay - I had two seperate

You need ORBit 0.5.8.

I too have get the Evolution shell error and I even posted a gdb
traceback, but no one responded. I have made *4* attempts to get an
answer and no one has responded except those who said "I have the same
problem and no one responded".
I have deleted the evolution diretory, reinstalled ALL comp
Oops, I attached it the first time and typed the address wrong - forgot
to attach it the second time. Let's see if I can get it right this
time.
By the way, the dialog box says:

??! Funny way of doing things. OK, will try it when I
get home later.
Thanks,

You might need to restart Evolution? I forget whether my rewrite made it
into 0.10 or not, I thought it did but maybe not. (my rewrite made it so
that you wouldn't have to restart among other fixes).

I got the packages to install using 'rpm --ivh --force package.rpm'. I
just still can't print out of evo (or out of Gnumeric, haven't tried
anything else yet).
BTW, which packages are you talking about? Do you mean you had to
install gnprint, gnprintd, or libgnomeprint (or all three) twice?

Hello,
Tried Evolution 0.10 but could not get PGP/GPG support
working - I've tried entering 'PGP/GPG path' as
/usr/bin/gpg and /usr/bin, no difference. It claims no
PGP/GPG program available.
Is it disabled by default, or needing another program
to work?

You've run out of file descriptors. (Not sure what the suggested fix
is.)

Ok, can i get you to do one more thing, that is do a backtrace for each
thread.
You do it like
thread 1
bt
thread 2
bt
etc, until you run out of threads (or use 'info threads' to list them).
Looks pretty bizarre that its finalising a folder in that code, but
maybe Dan can make sense of it.

Hi,
I am currently running evolution-mail in gdb with the
CAMEL_VERBOSE_DEBUG on in an attempt to catch the IMAP hanging bug.
However, while most of the output is IMAP chat, occassionally I get
