I think it is too soon to discuss this with the board. Right now the
EWG is not recommending anything, just soliciting input from the larger
community.
Let's have the discussion on the list first to get people's position on this

The people on my team have looked at the proposed new structure and so far it
looks like it would be a workable solution for us. We have not yet tried to

I took an AR from the last meeting to solicit input on
the Linux distro/kernel list that we will support in the
next release of OFED-3.2.
The suggestion in the meeting was that we drop support for all
RHEL EL 5.x versions. We'd like peoples input on that as it may be
hard to do backports from
Are these items absolutely required for OFED-1.5.4 ? Personally, I
have some people that really need to have this release out ASAP and do not
want to hold it up anymore if possible. The release has already slipped
a lot from our original plan.

I think this point needs to be clarified - at least to me anyway. :)
What this means is that the OFED code base will be identical to what
is included in the upstream kernel and libs.
OFED will provide only backports to
.
There are some other minor patches that were identified, such as raw QP support
that
are in OFED but not yet upstream.

Here are a few notes that I took at the meeting.
OFED-1.5.4 discussion:
OFED-1.5.4-RC1 was released last week and available for testing.
There are a couple of FDR patches that still need to be pulled in
and those are expected this week.
Support for kernel.org 3.0 is still not complete.
