Hello all,
we encounter an big problem to configure exchange 2000 (sp3) for windows 2000 (also
sp3) cluster usage (active/passive).
If we try to setup the Exchange System Attendant as a resource within the cluster, we
always get the error message:
exchweb comes to mind.

Try using the complete domain name, e.g domain.com\username. That is what
we have to do, even though we have the default domain set.

Greetings,
Does anyone know how to determine a user's home server under Exchange 5.5
and 2000? I know you can add a user under a new profile and do a lookup,
but that is cumbersome! Is there a better way?
Thanks!

Look in the user properties under Active Directory or in the x5.5 administrator.
E2k: Look on the exchange general tab of the user properties
x5.5: look for the home server attribute on the user's mailbox.

I don't remember how OWA 5.5 works, but if I go into OWA 2000, and type

You really should ask your Exchange goddess in residence... It'd be pretty
straght forward to write a script which did an ADSI query based on something
like the users SMTP address which returned their home server.

Thanks for the info Chris. I've got sp4 on the Exchange server but will
install it again to see if it fixes the problem. The symptoms in Q266792
are identical to what I have.
