How do You guys/gals handle this: OWA Hanging.

We have 9 exchange 5.5 sp4 nt4 6a servers and 1 exchange server 5.5 sp4 nt 6a running owa and every time we have to take one server offline owa hangs for us. How are you all handling this? Below is the technet article that I found that says this is by design. I don't believe it... john San Diego
