We generally allocated 4k per user in a remote office over a direct WAN
link.

Your alternatives presume that it is the link speed itself that is causing
your slowness. I wouldn't jump to that conclusion, or else you might find
yourself going to the boss and requesting funds for an improvement that
doesn't improve anything.

DSL - You get what you pay for
Ive got like 30 to 35 user in my FL loc (coming up to CT), plus all other
apps (telnet, OL, Surfing..etc..) coming up a T1 Frame Relay pipe at 128K
CIR (Was 64K).
work's great..reliable..no over head for VPN
if you want to calculate it I think OL to Exch
