Is there *really* nothing there, or is it just not viewable?

Within Outlook, each folder can be presented with a filtered view,
showing only messages meeting specific criteria, such as 'unread'.
While at the inbox, I believe the menu option is
View--Current View
Does it indicate 'Messages' or 'All Messages'?

The other possibility (if you are saying that all other folders are
empty and you can't figure out where 55MB is) is that the files are in
the root folder of the mailbox.
1. Properties of outlook today - user
2. HomePage tab
3. uncheck show home page for default or something to that effect.
Right click on the Outlook Today- mailbox, choose properties then the Home
page tab. Clear the checkmark from Show home page by default for this
folder, click OK. Then select the Outlook Today - Mailbox and you will see
the messages at the Top of the Information Store.

right clicked Outlook Today and it brought up the folder size and it
show 55mb in the inbox
I assumed he meant inbox when he said inbox and not Outlook Today.
