Possible ? With OL XP we can have only one Exchange profile.
You can only have one open at a time, but if you created additional
mailboxes, you can have additional profiles, and set Outlook to prompt for
profiles before launching.

We fired up the new E2K server over the weekend. Made all the necessary DNS
changes. Everything seems to work fine except pop3 clients. When the pop3
clients Outlook Express, Netscape or Eudora try and send mail to someone on
the home server they get an error. This only happens when they are
You could enable message journaling for the IS to capture all messages to a
PF and then use CDO to write a server side script which would delete any
messages that did not have an attachment.

Why do you say that the store will not release memory? Is Exchange not
releasing memory to another application that needs to run? It is absolutely
normal and expected that Exchange will take (almost) all available memory
and use it until another app needs memory.
Clients need to successfully authenticate in order to be able to relay off
an E2K server. Are the OE/Netscape/Eudora clients set up to authenticate to
the server? Each user will need to have their domain/username and password
set up in their client.

the new server receiving mail from the outside world. Even if I send from my

Leave POP3 out of it, it's an SMTP issue. Simplify the issue. SMTP is SMTP,
if they can send to a recipient in one location, but not another one has to
look at what is different. Since the mail is accepted by the Exchange server
and then rejected. Do you have them connecting to a different

Now I think it is an DNS issue. I am running DNS on the email server which
is also a domain controller. All users point to the outside DNS servers.
When email arrives I think it's resolving the email address incorrectly.
This is the message I get when I RAS in and lauch my Outlook 2000 client.

Well, from the amount of detail you provided about your environment etc. I would guess
that you are having a problem with something :-)

It recognises the clients being installed but when I want to push out
the initial update it doesn't recognise any of the domains...
Have you tried installing it on a non Exchange Server? Not too familiar with Office
Scan. Does it have a service account, if so, is there any special permissions it
needs, or group memberships for that matter. Sounds like security to me, but I have
been known to be wrong in the past :-)
Is this all the time, or just this new update?
Have you checked on how to manually do it? There is a doc on their tech
support that tells how to do it.

Is this all the time, or just this new update?
Moving it to another machine after you have your clients installed is a
MAJOR PITA. Be sure to talk to tech support first. They have some
documentation to follow.

Hello All,
In Exchange 5.5 you could configure the system to deliver outbound and
inbound mail failures to a particular mailbox. We have just installed
exchange 2000 and would like to have these same reports delivered to a
public folder.
My questions are:
Are Non-delivery reports in exchange
You can create meetings for others by:
1. Creating them on your calendar and inviting others.
2. Creating them on their calendars, but you must have permissions.
3. Using calendar-type public folders.
4. More advanced methods, but you should understand the above first.
For more information,
NDRs in 2000 have been improved.

The eventid 2028 occurs because public folders do not send delivery reports.

Mfc42.dll file may be missing or corrupted. To work around this
problem, copy the Mfc42.dll file from the Ex55 CD the \System32
subfolder of your cmptr running ExAdm.
If that no worky, see Q186787 for another solution.
