That was a good comeback and was easy to read. I give it a 90.

The article states that this is fixed in 5.0. Which, by the way also says
it will be released in a couple of days.

I was a little startled yesterday when I hit my server and the whole UI
had gotten updated. Much better though. Sometimes Auto updates can be
frightening.

OK thanks. I thought 5.0 was still in beta. The 3.54 is still listed on
the download page. My server has been giving me fits the last couple of
days, maybe a new version will help. That's probably what tech support will
tell me to do anyway.

Do you put the Officescan info in your logon scripts as well? I have found
doing that ends the issues with pushing updates. One way or another, the
client gets it.

I run a smaller network so I let people install do some customization of
their computers, and ive found that even throwing the autopcc in the
login script will somtimes crash out on slower computers (such as mine)
during startup when your computer is loading a lot of progies at
startup.
I am pretty free spirited with my users as well.
But NOTHING comes before the AV. Period. I isn't even open for discussion.

I only have a limited number of users with login scripts. Many of the
users in the cliniical areas rarely logoff or reboot their computers so the
use of login scripts woulnd't help.

I think the fact that im running ICQ, Messenger, realplayer, and a few
others will multitask startup regardless of where I put autopcc in my
login sctipt. Theres also a pretty good chance my computer is falling
apart (its the rejects store of all hardware that no one wants)

This is an issue that Trend has known about for a while and has had a
patch out for quite some time on. It seems funny that it finaly makes
the news only because of increased scans.
