It turns out I also have rpm-3.0.4-0.12mdk etc already installed on my
system. I have also already installed openssl and all of the related
packages
relating to it other than the,
openssh-2.2.0p2i386.rpm
openssh-2.2.0p1-2.src.rpm
openssh-askpass-2.2.0p1-2.i386.rpm
Okay...I ran the coax to my mdk box locale and moved the modem...of
course I have to move the line as it's strung across the living room and
up two flights of stairs...aha, it works. Go figure...It's got to have something

problem lies in the kde1-compat libraries in 7.2. It happens when i try to
run the configure script for kdevelop1.2. It fails when it tries to compile
