I think your MBR is corupt are you using multiple disks ? are you dualboting ? if yes the first try to repair with a dos diskette fdisk command fdisk /mbr the try reinstalling lilo if you have more then 1 disks try removing all except one with mandrake on it .. hope this helps take care
