If you recompiled the kernel as you have stated. Simply type this command: ls /boot/kern* if you can see anything along the lines of kernel.h or kernel.h-(kernel version). There you will find your kernel headers alla no kernel header rpm. Thus, hopefully that will shed some light on

David, You might take a look at phpGroupWare. It's been around long enough to have the major bugs worked out and seems like from what you say will allow you to do what you need. Totally web based and allows users various levels of control (with if I remember public and private calendars.)
