is this controlled by Xntpd, which i have running,
or by something else in the Mandrake-Linux set-up (9.0rc1 currently)?
i can't find anything in the NTP document'n on the subject.

I have a wireless network card wmp11.The
computer detects it as a broadcom bcm 4301.I have just installed mandrake

Can you test the drive under another OS or in another system? I've had
this happen, and seen it happen cdroms before. I became quite bad, to
the point where, if the computer was on, the cdrom would eject. Kind of
annoying seeing as it made the drive completely unusable.

Yep. The problem isnt that it shows up as 1 cpu using top but that it is
causing one cpu to be disabled and showing as a failure during bootup or
I should say during the POST pahse of the bootup.

shows that one processor has failed during bootup. The raid controller

On a LM9.1 I did install mplayer from Plf and it was all working fine (I
could play any region DVDs).
Then after a few days (I have no clue why it does that now) the DVD
started to act strangely. Basically when I insert a DVD movie that used
to play just fine the DVD reader ejects it automatic

I've been following this thread about icons for removable devices but
I'm quite puzzled by the way it looks on my box (installed with 9.1 from
scratch, not upgraded from 9.0 so there is no leftover).
In my /home//Desktop directory I do not have all these .desktop
files (except a Home.deskt
It was made clear on the order page that it would be well into April before
they are shipped. The end of April was suggested as a likely date for most
of us.
