3 settings on your server should not have anything to
do
with your server's ability to receive mail. Look either at your sending
e-mail program's SMTP setting and/or check that your server's DNS entry is
current and correct.

passwords. Read the relevant docs for this.
In the end, leaving no password is more secure than making a second
admin (uid 0) account, since it can only be done by someone who has
physical access to the machine (as opposed to someone on a network).

In novell that is one of the first things we were taught was to have 2 admin
accounts so you wont get locked out of your system.

Microsoft and Novell both teach net admins to hold two or three
administrator accounts to protect against forgetfulness...
Adding users with root access is just as easy as with novel or NT/2000.

I typed in the 3com driver name for the card and every thing came upI

If the client is a windows box connecting to a linux box to use the sql you
have to set up odbc it will link your client to the sql database and allow

My boss wants to be able to ssh into the linux box (newest version of
linuxmandrake.)(we have ssh running)
When you connect he does not want a prompt he wants the company's ordering
program to run. ( the user will get a login and access to the menu driven
program) the program is on the unix box.
