My question is that I have a Hauppauge WinTV/Radio. In previous versions of
Mandrake
I loaded the needed modules through rc.local. Mandrake now detects the TV
cards and
sets them up. I think I need to pass a bttv variable as my video is not
right. How
My WinTV card worked out of the box on mandrake 7.2
on 7.1 I had to do a modprobe msp3400 to get sound to work.
has anyone been able to get the radio to work?

Do you put the tuner=3 just after bttv ?
If I don't put it, I can't change channels. The parameter is used by the
module tuner.o, when it is loaded. I don't think order of loading
between tuner.o and bttv.o is important, but I usually load bttv at
last.
