After quite a stretch of dry weather we finally got some rain here in
the SF Bay Area. Now maybe my doors will work better. When I drove off
to the waterfront park there were just a few light rain drops on my
windshield. When I got the park I put on my jacket, started to walk away

The Dutch have a different relationship to the rain than most people
I've met. They don't just coexist peaceably with it like the people in
Oregon and Washington do; they get in the rain's face, and allow it to
