Hi all, I'm a younger relative of the late Walter Koch, and never got to meet
him since he passed away before I was born. I'm working on discovering my
family history, and I'd be deeply grateful if those of you who remember him
could share a bit of what he was like. When I search online for
dear Leopard, I was once in a meeting with Walter and some others in 1980. Even
though it was so long ago and only that one time, I remember him clearly, can
easily recall his face. He was such a bright light. Very welcoming of everyone,
very gracious and down to earth at the same time.

I think I was there, but I don't recall it exactly. It was in the field house
at MIU, and Walter was addressing the large group, and instead of saying TM
Youth, or maybe it was supposed to be American Youth, it came out German
