In the early conflict of the Cuban missile crisis between Soviet Russia and the 
USA Maharishi brought meditators together in group meditation,  At the very 
dawn of the escalation of the active Vietnam conflict particularly between US 
and Red China and Soviet Russia Maharishi brought the Sadhus of Uttarkashi in 
to group meditations.  
 On brinks of conflict between Soviet Russia, the West and the Mid-east 
Maharishi put meditation groups in between.
 

 It is quite time to come in to meditation by numbers and proximity now, to 
leave our old institutional animosities behind and come together in meditation 
again.  It is time to open the doors of group meditating again.  This will take

I've posted elsewhere some of the silliness on the west coast as the 
California state power authority issued a request for citizens to reduce 
their use of power during the eclipse due to reduced solar power 
generated. The effect of the eclipse on solar power generation should be 
about the same as a cloudy day.  And they don't issue notifications 
every cloudy but lets not give them any ideas. :-D
