Re: [FairfieldLife] RE: Winter Solstice, December 21, 2013
There's a radio host I listen to who is based in Los Angeles that thinks that it gets dark there too early in the winter. On 12/22/2013 11:40 AM, jr_...@yahoo.com wrote: Bhairitu, It's understandable why this is the case. From what I've heard, there are some countries in Europe, like Sweden and Finland, where it's always dark during the winter--with only a very short glimpse of the Sun perhaps. Who can't be depressed in that environment? From what I understand, the depression can be cured by taking a regular artificial sun bath in a special salon. So, there is always a human innovation to cure the problem during these modern times.

It's also a cancer preventative and has many other health benefits. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/12/22/dr-holick-vitamin-d-benefits.aspx?e_cid=20131222Z1_SNL_Art_1utm_source=snlutm_medium=emailutm_content=art1utm_campaign=20131222Z1et_cid=DM36874et_rid=375247475 On Sunday, December 22, 2013 8:02 PM, jr_...@yahoo.com jr_...@yahoo.com wrote: Judy, Here' the sun treatment I was talking about. “Like Siddhartha, the Buddha, who lived in the sixth century BCE, Brahmananda Saraswati seemed destined to wealth and privilege. Born on Thursday, 21 December 1870, young Rajaram was the treasured child of the Mishra family, prominent Brahmins who lived in the North Indian village of Gana, located near Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama. Also like the Buddha, young Rajaram's precocious philosophical nature set him on a path far removed from that envisioned by his parents.” -The Sweet Teachings of the Blessed Sankaracarya Swami Brahmananda Saraswati WLeed3@... wrote: Yes agreed Buck all is well.
