Hi Ken, Well I agree with you on most of your points; But the way I take Maharishi's name, is more of Shiva: or destroyer or ignorance. I still think he chose the fork in the road to cater to the people in the movement; Who wanted yogic powers( even John Lennon, I think was desiring these powers); So, I think Maharishi is still the 'destroyer of ignorance'; I just think that the greater numbers, and the appeal to he had to the masses; Was sacrificed for the teaching of these yogic powers; Perhaps in retro-spect, he could have saved these tecniques; For the one's who have since been the most devoted. And left the rest of us, just have our transcendental deep meditation; Discussions, residence courses, etc. R.G.Kenny H <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: RobertHi, my name is Ken Hassman, I was with the TM org for many years, fromthe year I started in 1969 all the way up to 1990, it was my whole life.I agree with you 100%. It is my opinion that once the focus was takenoff the twice per day for 20 minutes (TM in the AM and PM) and takingcare of the local meditators, it was all over. I was in the thick ofit (maybe you were too) and I have watched Maharishi systematicallydestroy his own creation. If, as his name-Mahesh (the GreatIshwara-Shiva) implies-he is the great destroyer, then this all makesperfect (I use that term loosely here) sense.Like yourself, I find this very sad indeed.Ken
