Good short piece in The New Yorker by an award-winning
science journalist debunking the nitwit notion that
the H1N1 vaccine is more dangerous than the disease
it prevents. Last two paragraphs:
...Though this H1N1 virus is novel, the vaccine is not.
It was made and tested in exactly the same way

flu shots, both seasonal and H1N1, to protect
ourselves and to protect others who might catch
it from us if we come down with it.
Can we sue you if we get the shot and wind up paralyzed as a result?
Here's a Monday morning topic for you: what is the
relationship of FEAR to lack of personal spiritual
experience?
What I've noticed, on this forum and many others,
is that the people who seem most emotionally involved
in putting down reports of other people's supposed
spiritual experiences
I think it is more than fear. I see envy and the NIH (Not Invented
Here) syndrome too.
It's not unusual. Someone buys a Ford on the marketing hype that it was
voted the number one car of the year by such and such magazine and brags
to their friends who laugh because they know that Ford buys
