for people new to html. If the newbie has been using the page builders
at Homestead and elsewhere, she'd probably like FPE, plus it's a fairly small
program, doesn't need megs of space to run. And then nudge the newbie towards
some other webhost for a mirror site :-)

it in Lynx to see how it works, partly because it does give me a
sense of how it'll work for blind visitors and people using really old
browsers, not a huge portion of my audience but enough that I'll do some
checking. I've never made any major changes to a page because of Lynx tho.

If your graphics software won't let you make the background transparent when
you create the new image, then make it white and when you save it as
transparent, apply the transparency to all white areas.
