It's my understanding this doesn't happen with the new vaccines. Sharyl cline...@yahoo.com wrote: There is a FIV vax.  The issue is any cat who the FIV vaccine will show up positive on any future FIV/FeLV ELISHA test.  Any cat who gets the FIV vax should also be microchipped so the owners can

This with the Fort Dodge vaccines and vets don't even like to mention them; cats that are vaccinated, will always show to be FIV+! That's really bad for cats that had the vaccine, become lost, abandoned - most will kill them because of FIV status. My vet hates these vaccines. -Original

I wonder if extreme stress, bad diet, etc. can cause false positives. In the first year (1992)that I trapped cats for our rescue group, an adult cat tested positive for FeLV. Three months later, she was negative! -Original Message- From: felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org

In fact, the same problem exists with the FIP - if used on cats, they will test as if they had it! The reason you don't hear much about it because it's not that great and vets do not push it. -Original Message- From: felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org

I'm glad my vet only uses Pfizer. I had no idea that there were different manufacturers and had adverse effects on them. I researched the vaccine just for the heck of it and I had found 3 different brands to my surprise! - Original Message - From: Natalie at...@optonline.net To:

I too want to understand. what has become of the Siamese for whom a rescue was being urgently asked? It has been another over the top day - - a whimpering puppy left too long in a hot car (2 windows down 3) at Wal-Mart. store made announcement over PA. no one came. called 911. we prayed

Hi Lorrie, I've looked around and on ebay too, but I can't seem to find many bulk deals for cat collars. The most I've seen was for 6 and they weren't break aways. Where do you usually get them from? If you don't mind... From: Lorrie
