For the adventurous types, try cyproheptadine liquid.
It's torture in a bottle...so, so bitter and just
disgusting!!!

Year ago I accidentally took a pill that was being given to one of my
cats for something. It was being given to him for some persisting
problem that he had but its normal use had something to do with feline
procreation. Anyway I took it by accident. I called Poison Control too
they laughed
remembering the time i accidentally used my eyedrops for the cats
instead of theirs and calling the vet in a panic. my eye doc got a huge
kick out of it when i told him, too--both said there was no problem. well,
what can i say, both sets of drops were in that same little plastic
Oh NOoo! hahahaha! I'm glad you were ok.that comment about the
kittens is just hysterical though.

I have Lixo-tinic here (the horse label of the same stuff). I just tried it.
It's
tart and sweet, with a definite metallic aftertaste. It's not pleasant, but did
not
make me gag nor did I need to swish out my mouth afterwards. Try it, it's not

that bad!

yeah, but you're not a cat! would you eat a can of a/d with great joy??
(never mind, i probably do NOT want to know the answer to that.)

A round of Lixo-tinic for all my friends! The not having to swish your
mouth out afterwards was a good descriptive note. I've tasted some meds
that sent me screaming to the faucet. Let me think about what else I
have around here that you can taste-test for us!

I can't taste anything that is fish-flavored. I just can't do it.
I think Clavamox doesn't taste as bad as my cats seem to think it does.

I've given it to a lot of cats and never had one gag on it. I wouldn't say
they enjoyed it though. As I remember it has an orange flavor. Another one
that is not high on the cat favorites list.

It used to be the antibiotic of choice in the humane society I worked in. The
cat
wing would get a URI, and it would be Cefa-drops all around, I hated that job,

ROFL! My vet is always telling me that a med tastes like this or that...I
always mention that I am curious how he knows this. Probably best not to
ask ;0)

On 3/14/07,
A tinky taste is one thing ... I absentmindedly took the cat's 22mg Baytril
the other night and Poison control said I would be fine ... not so, I was
terribly sick ... I apparently am sensitive to the quinilone drug family.
Re cat's meds tastes, liquid Clindamycin is vile ... and mixed with an
