When I see a kittens, I go gagawhen people ooh and aah over a baby, all
I can manage: "Oh, it's a baby!" I must say, there are some cute babies,
but most are not..I even had a dream years and years ago that I was
having kittens - call me nuts!

[Felvtalk] Stroudsburg, PA Looking for help for sweet Angelina- beautiful long haired kitty

2011-04-24 Thread Natalie
If anyone would like to see a picture of this gorgeous cat, I can forward it
privately – this site will not accept it.

Is there anyone in the area who could help this beautiful cat?

Natalie

Angelina was an abandoned outside kitty... she is a beautiful longhaired girl,
extremely affectionate, and although back in Oct she tested "slight" positive
for FelV, she has since tested lighter and lighter. She really needs rescue-
and a safe secure home please please pass her on, she has been caged too
long and getting very depressed. Take a look at that sweet face.

For more information, please contact Debbie Bonilla, at
helpingthep...@gmail.com. She is a lovely woman, just trying to help the folks
who found this cat get her to safe furever home.

Personally I would offer to help with transport within a few hours drive.

Please send her on to anyone you know ho might be able to help.

Thank you!

Yes... she was tested in Oct, Jan and again Feb. Each time the dot gets
lighter and it takes longer for the dot to show. I believe she is just a
carrier. That is why I can't in good conscious send her to a hospice with
actively sick cats, then for sure she would be sick.

She was found by a part time couple in the Poconos. A friend and I asked the
couple of they would keep her.. she was obviously abandoned because she was
just too super friendly to be a feral. So you got her fixed and shots but at
that time we were told she was positive. The couple has a Siamese cat so
therefore could not take in Angelina. They promised to feed her outside and
take care of her. In Nov I got a call saying the people had not been up in 5
weeks nor did they expect them to come during the winter to feed her. They
told me she was freezing and crying from being hungry. It was then I found a
lady to keep her in her garage in a crate. I bought a kitty hot pad that could
be microwaved and it stays warm 10 hours a day, but she was not let out of the
crate. She got all matted and put on a lot of weight, but she needed some
weight on her. But when I found out that she was not out of the crate and 4
months had past, I found this new place for her, even though it is temporary it
is better for her. I am grateful to the lady who kept her all winter. She did
the best she could considering she has tons of cats to care for and is out of
her home 12 hours a day. Angelina just could not get the care she needed. Now
she is in a bilevel kitty condo and she is let out to roam each day while her
condo is being cleaned. She is being handled and petted and loved! Yay for
that.

All I am praying for now is a nice person to fall in love with her and who only
wants one kitty. Apparently she contacted the virus and got through the
sickness. You would never know she is sick at all. They think all she is is
a carrier. I will get her tested again in a month or so.

Thanks for helping Angelina sends her love!

Hi Laure,

I have not found a permanent home for Angelina yet. I was able to move her to
a place where she is out of the cage in the garage but it is temporary. She is
still crated and I was hoping to find her a home as an only cat since she is
extremely sweet and friendly.

Debbie

Cats are selective...if you are worthy, they treat you that
way.if not, you are really out of luck. IMHO this is
particularly true of ferals...my very favorite catsthey are
survivors as are all rescued animals...dogs, cats, horses.

Re: [Felvtalk] Jakob Please ad to the CLS :(

Aw. I'm glad he had time to be loved. I had an FeLV orange girl, Hope, who
always had a worried look. I always felt she knew she had FeLV :(

I have a soft spot in my heart for orange boys.  Go in peace Jacob.  At least
he was loved for a while.

We lost our sweet Sids kid Jakob a beautiful orange boy who always had a
worried look on his face. We will miss you but was happy for the short time we
had to love you.
