Hi, I just want to clarify that what he has is Felk (feline leukemia) and not
FIV before I say anything -
First of all, please be careful what you give to felk kitties - their immune
system is already compromised, so whenever you give a hard medications, you
want to make sure that that is real
Hi Beckie,
Welcome to the group! I can't advise you on the FeLV issues or the other
problems Moe, but the mess in the kitchen I have a lot of experience with-if
it's urine that you're talking about.
Our Bandit was going in the heat vent, of all places, this winter. We tried
everything. The
Hi Beckie,
Welcome to the group. I am sorry that you have two FeLV+ furbabies, but happy
that they have you caring for them. Bless you for doing that.

I hate feline anemia...my Joey died of Autoimmune Hemolytic Feline
Anemia..after all signs were he was going to make a full recovery.
Apparently it can come back very fast and kill a huge amount of red

Hi everyone.
My name is Beckie. I'm 25 and live in Iowa with my boyfriend and 3 cats
(2 of whom are FLV positive). I'm hoping you guys can help me.
I have a cat named Moe and he's about 3 and has FLV. About 3 weeks ago,
I noticed some bumps around his neck and on his back, and he started to

Cassandra,
They are so so so cute!! I completely agree with everyone here! I wouldn't
vaccinate. Plus, I'm not sure if anyone mentioned the risk of injection-site
sarcomas which can result in leg amputation or death. I know it's a very
small risk, but not one I'm willing to take for my kitties.
VERY CUTE!
They look like my Tiny (the blond one) and Junior (the orange one). Tiny
died last year after being dx FELV positive. I am not sure his death was
related to the virus it was a sudden respiratory arrest, he never appeared
symptomatic. Junior is my other FELV kitty and is still doing well
Yes and it mentions the fast breathing we are seeing with Isabella..

Anytime you vaccinate it stresses out the cat, for many reasons.
Stress can lower the immune system even more.
I never vaccinate my cats. Period.
And they seem to have a better immune system for it.
They have been exposed to RW and to many different virsuses from the city pound
