[Felvtalk] Raising money for 11 felk kittens
Thank you so very much for all who have shoown interests and compassions for these adorable Felk kittens - they are all doing well, eating well, and playing well. Currehtly, we have an offer - a sort of barn situation (in/out), while we are grateful, but still worried about wild life - as these guys are veyr tame and some have light colors - and I would really like them to feel safe and cared for whereever they go. Second Chance Meow offered to take all of 11 kittens and care, and provide any necessarly medical care for them, which we are grateful. But it requires about $3500 as surrender fee -- unfortunately we don't have that type of funding right now, so I am personally trying to raise the money. Any donations will be so appreciated. They sound like very caring and wonderful people and I really would like to make this happen. Any one who will be abel to donate any amount of money, please contact me personally. Thank you so very much, Hideyo and all the kittens :) ___ Felvtalk mailing list Felvtalk@felineleukemia.org http://felineleukemia.org/mailman/listinfo/felvtalk_felineleukemia.org

I'm in Spring Green! It is good to know that the CCC can work with FeLeuk kitties, altho I have a good vet nearby in Dodgeville. Do they use any holistic treatments? I've been going there since Ninja was diagnosed FeLV+ and suffering from seizures etc. So, I've been going to them since 1998 and still love them. If you look at catvets.com, you will be able to find other vet members by ZIP code. There are other members at other clinics here in the area, but I like the fact that CCC is cats only and they know my babies. I talked to a wonderful consulting vet I know re Miss Eleanor (formerly Sabrina) his first recommendation was Internal Medicine at U of WI, but then said that this would probably not be necessary as long as she is asymptomatic. That regular blood work, every 6 months, would be the main requirement. Certainly hope that is the case as just a couple of visits to UW would be well over $1000! I would like to combine the services of a good regular vet, which I think I have, altho he freely admits that is practice does not see a lot of FeLeuk kitties - which is probably pretty much the case with all non-specializing vets, I would think, with those of a holistic vet as well. Do any of you do that? Are any of you in Wisconsin? Re: [Felvtalk] Vets for Felv cats
Not as a regular part of their practice, but they have always been open to new information and research I've brought. The first vet I used there, who is no longer there, had FeLV+ kittehs herself, so the viral status was just another piece of information to have in the kittehs file. they might have a holistic practice that they work with, but I've never looked into it. if you end up using them, tell 'em I sent you:) http://catcareclinic.net/ Barb+Smoky the House Puma+El Bandito Malito My cat the clown: paying no mind to whom he should impress. Sherry So sorry to hear you have lost another fur baby. What a huge heart you have to let them in, love them, then allow them on their journey! As I write Will (aka Blackie) sits behind me, pawing my shoulder. Stormy-Boo waits at the door. Aren't we fortunate to have these wonderful beings in our lives? May your heart be eased by memories of the good times. ~Bonnie -Original Message- From: felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org [mailto:felvtalk-boun...@felineleukemia.org] On Behalf Of Sherry DeHaan Sent: Monday, June 13, 2011 6:00 PM To: Felvtalk Subject: [Felvtalk] Bee Please add to te CLS :*( Another one of our Sids kids left us today.
