Thank you all for the information. My friend took the cat to the vet and was told that it is due to stress.
Thanks again!!

Yep, that's the first thing I think of with blood in urine. As far as
blood in poop, my Kimba Cat occasionally has blood in his feces. My vet
told me not to worry too much unless it keeps recurring. She says that
it can be an indication of stress. Kimba is always under alot of stress
around
most likely urinary tract infection and/or urinary crystals or bladder
stone/s. I would take the cat to get checked. Will probably be prescribed
an antibiotic and, if crystals or suspected stones, a special food to adjust the
ph of the urine.

if it's in the feces, it could be nothing--my vet says not to worry if
it happens once in a great while, but if it's a large amount of blood,
or is showing up daily, could be coccidia--vet visit certainly a good
way to check!

If it is in the urine, it could mean the kitty is blocked with
crystals, or has an infection. If in poop, not sure what that could
mean. I would take kitty ASAP to the vet for a check-up though.

My friend has a cat (felv -) and has found blood in the litter box. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?
Thank you for any input!
