Terrie My heart goes out to you. I lost three cats this year. Two a week apart. It is never easy. I cried as I read this. I decided no more cats until the FeLV group is gone, but someone had different ideas. A week ago when I was taking 6 of the negative cats to be vaccinated I find a very skinny kitty eating on my front porch. He did not leave. He is neutered, so he must have belonged to someone at sometime. As he is still here. I took him to the vet yesterday with the remaining cat and got him checked out. He too was negative and now vaccinated. Junior and Tiny also got their immuno-regulin shots yesterday. The vet told me he had a client whose cat tested positive for FeLV and was re tested every two years always positive. The cat lived 12 more years. I can only hope TIny may be as lucky. He has no symptoms and was a weak positive.
