I picked her up at 7:00 am. She seems much improved to me. She is
looking around and growling. Still taking nothing by mouth, on fluids
and tube feeding. They have narrowed the diagnosis to dry FIP or
toxo. Not sure why brain cancer is not in the picture anymore or if
they just didnt' write
I'm glad she's improved! I guess the news is better
than you expected? Can they treat the toxo? If so,
what do they treat it with? Are they waiting on lab
results to verify it?
Sorry I have so many questions. I'm curious and keep
the info. for further reference.

THey can treat toxo. It is treated with clindamycin (sp?). They
haven't tested for it. It has to be sent out to a lab and it takes a
while to get the results back apparently. I okayed the treatment
since it wouldn't hurt anything and might help.

Oh Kelly, I did the same thing. It was like it can't
hurt now he is testing + for hemobart and is on
doxy. We can only do what we think is best, and hope
for the best.

I could have a CT scan done, which would rule brain cancer in or out,
but I don't see much reason to do that since brain cancer cannot be
treated.
We could test for toxo, but he says he's never seen a cat w/toxo that
came from Texas - he's only seen one and that cat came from out of
state.
