Re: [Felvtalk] PUREVAX FELV vaccine
it is definitely considered the safest on the basis of its delivery system--has no adjuvant, which is still (i think) considered the main culprit in injection-site sarcomas. purevax vaccines are more expensive than others, but also do have a very good reputation. but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, so i'll do some searches: remember that vets don't have much more pharmaceutical education than do human docs, so unfortunately get more of their information from drug company detail people, NOT an unbiased source at all. i vaguely recall, however, that there was a study a year or two back that compared the efficacy of the various FeLV vaccines? am i just being delusional? anyone? Re: Purevax
thanks for letting me know. I was hesitant about giving my other cats the shots. I have two cats with leukemia in my full basement downstairs and I keep them away from my four others. I will ask my vet about the vaccine. If he can get it I def. will have them vaccinated. - Original Message - From: Terri Durham-Stone [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Sent: Saturday, August 13, 2005 11:00 PM Subject: Re: Purevax No it is new for Leukemia ,,, it does not cause lymphoma because it shoots the vax around instead of it staying in one area.
