what, you're expecting logic and clear-thinking from governmental entities? On 8/8/06, MacKenzie, Kerry N. Re: New Tang pictures! Taken today! (OT)
Well, if your wallet ever stretches to about $500, you can adopt one of thousands of others still living in Greece! I think that's about what the total came to, with all the airfare, customs fees, transport fees, vet fees, etc. Now, THAT was nuts of me... much crazier than feeding the ground hog! That's OK, Tang is the most exotic, high priced black street cat on earth now maybe... LOL! Re: New Tang pictures! Taken today! (OT)
The UK has strict quarantines, and the daily cost of that is astronomical. Cats entering the USA or Canada from Europe do not face any quarantines, thus the cost is much less. RE: New Tang pictures! Taken today! (OT)
The UK has abolished the quarantine thank goodness (happened about 3-4 years ago). But, the rules of entry are strict--you have to have all the correct paperwork to show that you/your vet has followed the correct procedures and at the right times--and it has to be written in the correct color of ink too! Otherwise the pet IS quarantined until it's sorted out. There is also only one airline authorized to carry the pets from North America to UK; and only one point of air entry (Heathrow). And your pet can not travel in the cabin. Has to be as cargo. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, August 06, 2006 7:49 PM To: felvtalk@felineleukemia.org Subject: Re: New Tang pictures!
