Forgive me as I have missed the beginning of this email thread. With respect to urinary crystals diet is huge. Every cat that has ever been brought to me with crystals has responded to diet with complete eradication of crystals (make sure you know what type of crystals you're dealing though).

Homey's crystals are struvite, very few calcte. She geets fitered water in fountains along with e other 6 cats in my house. We have 8 litter boxes tat are scooped out at least 2 times a day. I use a corncob litter because it is biodegradeble, doesn't track more than clay and hadles odors
