Re: pet-food contaminant found?

2007-03-23 Thread elizabeth trent

The fact that this substance is not legal for use in the US has me very
concerned. Is this because Menu Foods is based in Canada? I'd like to see
some information on exactly how that poison got into the food. Call me
paranoid but in this day and age, accidents seem a lot less likely.

HI

Thanks for the update. Here I am feeding a sick cat and have to worry about
poisoning him. I know the cat food I feed Junior has some varieties produced
at Menu foods. Now I am reading labels to make sure there is no wheat. Now
just a thought about the toxicity of this compound. The was in wheat, and a
small amount of wheat goes into the production of cat food, the wheat must
have had a large amout of poison in it to cause acute renal failure in some
animals. Scary to say the least.

Hoping everyone is safe.
