Hi everybody, I'm a newcomer to the list. I just bought a Canoscan FS2720U, which works fine except for being unable to scan at 36 bit color. The twain driver crashes (even with 36 bit aware photo programs, like Photoshop etc.) [I'm using Windows 2000] I wonder if anybody had a similar

thanks for all the advice. got me thinking though - would be nice for a piece of code to take a folder full of images and burn them onto multiple cds (not splitting files over discs or using archives), and auto generate the thumbnails to use cd cover stationary... I do the next best

It doesn't make any difference which layer is on top, but they must me separate scans, one optimized for shadows and one for highlights. Contrast masking is a more advanced and more powerful option but requires selecting a channel for an illumination mask and then using an adjustment layer with
