Bonjour!
whenever vuescan is asked to create a .bmp file while scanning in the
'raw' mode, bw negs, the first frame is 'printed' twice on the 'contact
proof sheet', so you always get the first two frames as twins...
anybody met this situation???

This has happened before to my unit...
first time, not knowing, sent it back to polaroid
second time, not wanting to go through the delivery/time cycle, stopped
the recycling scanner and blew compressed air into the channel... did it
a few times and restarted the scanner, problem solved...
The dust mote strikes again
You could call this situation "the looping cycle"
this happens because there is a dust particle sitting on the
'registration' sensor, the one which sets the carrier into the 'start'
position...
since it is blinded by the dust spek, it keeps the carrier moving back

negative scanned on a polaroid ss4000???
