I frequently export EPS files from Finale (2008a.r1 for Mac) for use in our
church bulletins. The secretary imports them into Word (I have 2004 for Mac;
she has 2007 for Windows) and prints them on a laser printer. This process
usually goes off without a hitch, but sometimes--usually when I'm
Not an expert on this.
I wonder if you installed the Microsoft XPS document printer and printed to
that, if it would be more compatible?

No go. While it makes a nice web document, word can't read it, sorry.

Anybody using the Tapspace Virtual Drumline 2.5? Does it work ok in
conjunction with GPO and GJBB?
I'm not so much interested in all the marching stuff, more all the
oddball percussion that GPO doesn't have.
I'm on Finale Windows 2009.
Thanks,

Um.underwhelming..again
The percussion thing is something Finale has needed for a
while.and finally chords that are easy to use.
But is that it? Really?

At first glance it looks like I'll be trudging along with Finale 2007,
exclusively maintaining a 20-year body of work. They want to charge
me $170 to upgrade. Hmmm.
Patiently waiting Sibelius 6 to be delivered.

I wonder whether they are aware of it, but this update looks rather,

Well, having used FinMac 07 for quite a while, the perc. and
additional sounds are tempting ... I just wonder how buggy it would
be to upgrade ...

After having watched the videos on the new chord entry and rehearsal

The chord entry will sure save me a lot of timebut $99 worth?
Arghh, I guess so.
I bought the last upgrade just to be able to edit on

Hi all,
I have dealt with this before, but I can't remember out what I did.
In 6/8 when you notate dotted 8th, sixteenth, eighth, the sixteenth
beamlet is turned back toward the dotted eighth.
But if you do the same rhythm as a triplet in 2/4, the sixteenth
beamlet is turned FORWARD,

Damn: it seems I live in the wrong country. All I can find for Europe
is a 35% discount for Finale users. This means I could buy Sibelius
for Ā£386.75. That's about 600 dollars!
What's the reason for this huge difference in price between USA and
Europe?

Brilliant! That's it, and an easy solution it is, too!
Many thanks.

If we're lucky maybe Avid will run another promotion like they did for
Sib5 crossgrade from Finale. They did one promotion for under $100.
Still, the sibelius users have to pay $99 to upgrade, so $150 to
crossgrade is really quite affordable. Finale upgrades are usually
that much and

I have a score that I originally did in Finale several years ago. I
don't remember what version. I have opened it in 2008 (I do have 2009
but haven't really used it yet). I think that all the slurs are too high
and too rounded. Is there a way to adjust the shape of all the slurs at
once?
I was wondering if Tapspace can be mixed with GPO. I know that when I
had tried to mix GPO and the Smartmusic Softsynth I have experienced
timing and other issues.
Thanks,
RBH
