I'm getting air noise in my first flute part.
I'm using the Kontact 2 player. I can manually turn it down, but the sound then
plays with the air noise and as soon as I stop playback the rotary knob in
Kontact 2 player turns to 100 again.
I've tried setting the human playback to none but this
Is it possible to move rests vertically, so they don't bump into notes in
other layers?

Two tactics.
First of all, the Layer Options can be set for the document to
automatically shift rests by a certain number of steps up or down.
You might save a lot of tweaking by setting these to something other
than the default up 6 for layer 1 and down 6 for layer 2, especially

Hi All,
I frequently receive scores to engrave in which the composer has made manual
horizontal adjustments to the note position. It is not clear to me why
these adjustments are made. The adjustments are usually very small and it
is very easy to miss one. Is there a way to universally change
Set Music Spacing to clear manual adjustments, and then execute the
music spacing command (Select all with selection tool, hit 4).
This will NOT, however, shift notes that have been moved to allow for
another voice a second below, then the lower voice was removed or

Set Music Spacing to clear
Go to Document options - music spacing - manual positioning - clear. Then

Anyone use the engraver text fonts to do graphical harp pedal diagrams? (O,
shift -O, P, shift -P)
Makes it alot easier than futzing with the shape designer stuff, but do
harpists like the way it looks OK, because it does look a bit different. Or
am I using the wrong font/characters?

A much better solution is Matthew Hindson's freeware Harp Pedal font:

How can you select several or all rest?
Is there a Mass edit or macro? Doing each one seperate can be time consumimg
