[Finale] Bill Duncan Font bug in 2012

2011-10-14 Thread Chuck Israels
There are two essential (to me) symbols in Bill Duncan's fonts for which one cannot adjust the FAN files, because the symbols (the small and large slashes for rhythmic notation) are in slots that are currently not supported in Finale 2012. The symbols are in spaces 257 and 259, and the grid

I haven't seen any major issues with the articulations font and 2012 finale. Some really old files that seem to use the BDFont (maestro) were messed up for me. Did you manually move all the FAN files into the Finale 2012 folders? Sent from my iSomething -- Eric Dannewitz Musician/Polymath/Evil

I'm trying to make room on my hard drive until such time as I can upgrade my computer - probably next year. I was curious what Finale things I can delete and still be able to hear some sort of playback. I don't configure any of my music for realistic playback - I use playback mainly as an

I don't know about v2012, but when I used v2010 on my prior computer I omitted all the Garritan stuff and it worked just fine. Like you, I use playback as a proofreading tool and not much more. mdl -Original Message- From: Giz Bowe girard.b...@verizon.net Sent: Oct 14, 2011 7:46 AM

I hear you, I have a 6 year old laptop that I am trying to make survive for another year. No use replacing the HD in such an old machine, an external drive defeats the convenience of portability, and space is at a premium. Drop the Garritan and Aria Player. The Garritan sounds are heavy and

Hi Chris, I don't believe you can drop the Aria player from Finale 2012 if you still want playback. And Giz could easily get a portable bus-powered HD. Cheers, - DJA - WEB: http://www.secretsocietymusic.org On 14 Oct 2011, at 12:17 PM, christopher.sm...@videotron.ca

Hi Eric, Yes, the appropriate FAN files have been moved into the right place, but there is a real bug, acknowledged by MM. I have had a message from them that the right people at MM are working on it, so I am hopeful. Thanks, Chuck Sent from my iPhone On Oct 14, 2011, at 8:16 AM, Eric
