Sorry I just don't understand why you don't treat it like a transposing
instrument and just notate it as you would a trumpet or alto sax?

I might just not understand what the issue is here, but I don't understand what
the issue is here.

Hi - I'm changing from the Mac version to the Windows version and the way stop
/ starting playback works is frustrating me.
On Mac the space bar stops / starts the playback as it does on almost every
piece of audio / video software I've ever worked on.
But on the Windows version it doesn't.
I know Mark Adler reads this list so I wanted to let him know how frustrated
and angry many VERY knowledgeable Finale users are with MM's decision to close
the existing user forums. It may not be your decision but it reflects poorly on
the company. Shame.
Some reaction at the link below.
Hi Giovanni - did you receive any responses to your question? I don't know how
to do it but I am definitely interested in learning. Sometimes Finale changes
the file on its own without telling me (often when a file is opened) and I
would like to be able to prevent it from doing this.
cheers,

When I updated to a retina Macbook Pro laptop last year Finale 2012 looked so
bad that I ended up moving to 2014.
Since 2014d was updated to 2014.5 just to allow Finale to run on El Capitan, I
would expect that you would have problems running 2010 on that OS, but I'm just
guessing.
Maybe
At least one beta tester has posted on the makemusic forums that their feedback
has been ignored. If the search function worked on the forums, you could
probably find that

I don’t understand how things like this get rolled out in 2015. We were
laughing about it when I was still working in tech back in 1992. Disconcerting.
Like a trumpet player who shows up without any valve oil.
I’m happy the update was
fwiw the most dramatic speed increase in F2014 for me came after I removed
F2012 from my system.
I have no idea why, and can't guarantee that you'll have the same experience,
but that's what I found.
And by dramatic, I mean, dramatic.
(using MacBook Pro running OSX)
best of luck,
