that for every
independent instrument you want to hear there is a unique instrument
name and channel, and that each channel corresponds to a unique General
Midi (GM) sound.

Just a quick question.
I tried to play a finale file with the midi sounds only, and it wouldn't
play.
I then was able to change the midi settings and have it play on GPO.
Is there a way to make finale play midi sounds only? This would be very
helpful.
Thanks in advance.

I don't recognize it, but if all are quarters, some should be dotted...
It's hard to determine which should be dotted. And, are all the intervals
the smallest possible (closest motion)?
It might be easier if a finale file was attached. It sounds kind of
familiar, but without rhythm, tempo,
The web-site has been revamped recently. There used to be a link that had
just PDFs and midis. It is no longer available.
I have a few arrangements that I've done from some of those files.
Perhaps we need to send emails and requests to get those files back on the
site.

Greetings,
I have been playing with Finale 2007b on my PC, and I have noticed that when
I put a retard or a tempo in the score, the HP generally ignores it. I like
how HP interprets music (for the most part) but it is aggravating that it
ignores markings that I purposefully put into the score.
I am very upset by the news. He was a personal hero of mine.
I have enjoyed his music as soon as I heard it. I have many of his
transcription books. One of my life goals was to meet MB...I guess I'm not
going to be able to do that now.
Rest in peace my saxophone brother.

I also had a problem with this. It eventually worked for me, but I had to
accept the error several times. Each time, the download would pick up where
it left off. I think I was able to download it after 4 or 5 errors. Hope
that's helpful. Good luck.

Any suggestions?

Greetings,
I have just begun to work with Finale 2007 PC on my XP machine.
When I try to add a smart shape to a score (i.e. slur, crescendo,
decrescendo), finale crashes. It's nothing dramatic, finale just
disappears. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a quick
solution?
I have been wondering about the new sounds too. I work with Finale
BandinaBox. Band in a Box tends to put out pretty human sounding midi
stuff. If I were to dump a BB file into Finale and use the new sounds,
would it sound...I don't know...reasonably good? I've listened to the
samples, and
