Are you opening files created with an earlier version of Finale? If
so, you could batch convert them all to 2006 and you would probably
solve the problem.

Thanks Dennis, but I figured out what it was - I had auto spacing and auto
layout on, the first thing it was doing was to space

I get the dialog even with Fin2006 files I have created and saved and
reopened.
Only thing I've done is to play them.
Close program and I'm asked if I want to save them. This used to
happen with some earlier versions, but I thought they had fixed that.

or something, when I go to close it, I get a dialog box asking if I want to
save it!
