Eric,
I don't know if the kinds of things you need are in Bill Duncan's
custom smart shapes. I use only a few of them, but it might be worth
a look, if you use these things a lot. For instance, there's a
combined ped...* that stretches and shrinks as spacings change.

I should have used the word metatool instead of
macro. The OLM says the following (pg. 21-3):

(For some unexplained reason this message was blank the last
I've had this bug also. Did you use a copy of your preference file of
2006 and renamed it 2007 before using the new version?
