For a chamber piece for piano, cello, and percussion, what staff
order would everyone recommend?
I'm thinking (top to bottom): perc - vc - pno?

depends on the context i guess... i just finished a piece (in this
order in the score) for e-guitar, pno, drumset... since the grouping
is a litle unconventional -- percussion is way more common in new
music -- it seemed to make more sense this way... i guess because of

That's the most orthodox, but depending on the musical texture, vc, pc,
pno might be

Thanks for the input. The composer seems really attached to vc - pno
- perc for some reason. I don't like it, but it turns out he is quite
insistent.
