I was able to get a part to extract but the Inst name doesn't appear on the
extracted part...it is in the Staff (Full and Abrv) on the score
Also in the score without using filters I copy a section (Changes) paste it the
staff style doesn't copyhighlite and apply slash notation it
changes

The Staff Styles are a big problem. Often, the parts do not adopt the
proper staff style that is in the score, so you have to go to the
part, select the Staff Tool, and in the Staff menu select Reset Staff
Styles to Score. This makes that part the same as the score. This is

FWIW, I remember that the Dallas Symphony was trying to beg and borrow a
cimbasso for something by Verdi. I think that the Dallas Opera had
