I recently reinstalled Finale 2014 on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.9.4 and now
tried to install JW's Rhythm Copy v1.04 by putting the jwrhythmcopy.bundle in
Finale's Plugin folder. After restart I unfortunately can't see the plugin from
the menu.
Any tip?
Thank you in advance

Hi Jeff,
There are a couple of ways to go about this. If I used a TAB clef, I would use
all 10 strings because there would be no doubt what it meant. When TAB is
clear, the music looks like it sounds. Using a TAB clef, the strings could be
numbered so that one's eye may quickly shift to

Good evening friends,
Big news out of MakeMusic today. What does this mean for Finale?

Here's a quote from the Sibelius blog that makes me think their long term
plans are in the education and learning worlds and not the professional
musician world. I'm going to be hanging on to 2012 for dear life :)

As far as I know, you'd need to do a Measure-attached text block.

I would keep using 2012, too, except for the occasional won't insert
measures bug which is really frustrating when it pops up.

I'm going to pop in here just to say that I have had problems with 2014 that
make it unusable for me. Two things continue to happen: Finale loses its
ability to undo, and I have navigation issues that seem insurmountable.

I've had 2014 crash, and somehow lose the main file and auto save file,
too. Im starting to save regularly to a thumb drive

By won't insert measures bug do you mean it crashes when you insert
(exactly) one measure? I used to have that problem, but since the last
Fin12 update I rarely if ever see it. And when I did, all I needed to do
was insert more than one and delete the extras.
I'm also avoiding Fin14. Not enough

I am still hoping for something that handles margins, left formats, etc. I

OK, here's one for the acquired wisdom of the list. What do we lose by
taking a 2014 file back to 2012?
I have a big file and a deadline. 2014 crawls with it, crashes
periodically, otherwise perfect! If I save it to 2012, what might I lose?

I had the one-measure insert bug, but even with 2012c I have had the bug
with larger inserts. 2014 no problem

I've done it a number of times (always to my considerable relief) and found
nothing missing or changed.

Wow. That parent company has absolutely nothing to do with music. They
talk about this as if making music is analogous to doing chin-ups. And
notice that they are dumping the whole MakeMusic management team, or so
it seems. Current MakeMusic CEO, Karen VanDerBosch and the rest of her
