Re: [Finale] staff styles don't match

Thank you. What I was doing is to delete the part and have it done anew, then I
would get all the staff styles correctly. If you change the styles after the
parts were made they don't link in the linked parts. Isn't that ironic?

Hi Darcy,

I just confirmed this. You can use the JW Change plugin to make stems invisible
and it also hides the flag.

Maybe it doesn’t do everything else you want, but it is quite powerful.

 Hi Chris,

Shortening the stem does not hide the flag.

It's not possible to create a stemless notes staff style that only affects a
particular layer. That's the first thing I checked!

[Finale] Text Repeat Assignment Window

2015-08-24 Thread Haroldo Mauro
The title bar of this window only shows the first digit of the measure number.
So, if a coda sign is a little out of place in the score and you want verify
whether it is connected to, say... measure 34 or 35, there's no way of finding
out, because the Text Repeat Assignment window's title reads Text Repeat
Assignment, Measure 3. Is there another way to find out the measure number for
Text Repeat indications?

There are many so many ways you can create a swing feeling in Finale.

[Finale] staff styles don't match

2015-08-24 Thread Haroldo Mauro
In the score there are three different staff styles: normal, slash and rhythm,
but when I look at the parts, it's all NORMAL notation. This happens all the
time! I fix it manually. What is the magic trick that tells Finale that the
staff styles in the parts should match those in the score? Thanks.
Harold
