[Finale] Two notes versus one note

Dear friends. Having trouble with ver. 20145.5. I am writing for mail choir. Sometimes voices like 1. and 2. tenor or 1. and 2. bass sing the same note. In that case I would like to see (as my previous ver. of Finale did) one notehead with two stems, up and down. But in this ver. I see two

The other thing you could do if you don’t really care to actually have two notes, is to only enter one note and use Special Tools to put the stem on both sides of the notehead. I’ve done this many times and it’s fast and easy. *** J D Thomas ThomaStudios > On Jan 29,

This is a document setting since a great many versions. Finale may have changed the default setting, though. Under Document Settings>Music Spacing>Avoid Collision of>Unisons: click None instead of Different Noteheads. You might have to respace the document after this, and you might have to

If your have stopped the playback before it reached the end of the file, you cannot change the tempo setting in the playback window. You may start the playback at a measure # near the end, let the playback finish itself, and then edit the tempo setting before starting a new playback. Klaus
